Support IPv6 Throughout the Azure Platform
IPv6 has been a standard for years and ISPs are starting to roll out native IPv6 stacks to consumers. The time is now to support IPv6.
Public IPv4 addresses are running out soon. In some developed markets IPv6 is starting to get common. Add the option to have public facing IPv6 addresses as a VIP.

We agree that IPv6 enables a variety of exciting applications and work is underway internally and with our hardware partners to provide IPv6 endpoints for Azure-based applications.
